Rachna Takawale is a multidisciplinary artist based in Mumbai, India. Her work comes from trying to understand her inner world while making sense of the world outside it. As someone who feels deeply and questions constantly, art has become a way for her to process emotions, quiet the noise, and stay connected to something bigger than herself. Her practice today is deeply spiritual, and she often sees her work as a form of meditation - a space between herself and god.

Rachna has been painting since childhood, but like many people growing up at the time, she didn’t see art as a practical career. Stability felt more important, so she pursued a degree in advertising and spent six years working in the corporate world.

In 2017, she made the decision to leave that life behind and follow her creative instinct. What began as a leap of faith soon grew into a thriving practice. Over the years, she became one of India’s most sought-after calligraphy and engraving artists, working with brands such as Dior, BMW, Givenchy, Adidas, Ferragamo and many others.

Today, her work is expanding beyond calligraphy and returning to painting - something that has always been a part of her life. For her, art is simply a way of understanding herself, staying grounded, and creating something honest in a world that often feels chaotic.
