Where do we go after this life ends? Do our souls descend quietly into forgotten corners of the earth - unseen, yet vividly alive - to dance, to play, to remember?
This painting captures that very curiosity. Set within the imagined crevice of a mountain, two soul forms float in gentle motion - suspended between worlds, lit by a divine, otherworldly light pouring in from above. There is mystery in the shadows, but also a sense of serenity, intimacy, and almost childlike wonder in the interaction of these luminous forms.
 
The work draws on themes of spiritual longing, imagined afterlives, and the invisible threads that bind soulmates across time and space. The layered pigments evoke terrain and sky, earth and ether - blurring the line between physical and spiritual landscapes.
 
As an artist, I often wonder what souls do once they leave the body. Do they speak? Do they laugh? Do they seek out kindred spirits? This painting is a meditation on that wonder - an invitation for the viewer to dream, to believe, and perhaps even to remember something they’ve never seen before.
Each time you return to it, it may reveal something new - a shift in tone, a forgotten question, or a quiet sense of knowing.
